Danny Seraphine and CTA (California Transit Authority) play a free show at Border's in Chicago to promote their new CD "Full Circle." August 9, 2007. Part 6 West Virginia Fantasies / Colour My World. Danny says "Thats not your parents' CMW."
Mother of God ... I don't like this vocalist. Talk about butchering a song. It ain't supposed to be an exercise in vocal gymnastics, all of which is ironic given that Danny hated the way Bill used to "over-sing" this tune in Chicago. Singer --whoever you are, the original melody line, which you strayed FAR from, wasn't broken, so why try to fix it? Thanks for posting this.
Excellent. It provides the same emotion that I got from listening to Chicago version, but its all about the presentation. Keep up the good tunes guys.
it's clearly still Chicago in there, but the first part of WVF has a little bit of a Zappa feel to it, maybe it's the clavichord effect on the guitar.
I like it. I met Danny Seraphine and got a chance to sit down and talk to him at International Drumfest 2008 (Nova Scotia). He's an amazing musician with loads of talent. Really down to earth guy, too. Kudos to CTA for the amazing job!
Danny's creation of CTA is indicative of love he had for his former band. I was heartbroken when they parted ways. It is great to see that he is bring back his "old school" for those of us who will listen and enjoy simply for who he is, what he is, and where he came from.
this version of WVF reminds me of something Jeff Beck like, and then the break int CMW very Pink Floyd like. a great tribute and interpretation of the originals.

A really nice rendition of an American classic. I get the feeling I'm watching the dream sequence of a broadway play.
