Waiting to Begin Again (Chapter 18) (Part 2)

{Hayley's P.O.V.}
It became a routine. I would go to school as long as I needed all in one sitting. Then I'd go to a dressing room until my dad came and got me. Sometimes Frankie would come and I'd teach him some more skateboard stuff. I wasn't sure why I was doing it, but I guess it was just cause he wasn't angling for anything. I didn't have to talk about Mom or Dad or anything. It was just about skateboarding. Anyway, the routine changed a couple weeks before the official tour was to start. The rehearsals had to be stopped because the guys had shows and appearances they had to do. They didn't need the entire crew to go to New York with them, but, for some reason, they had said they wanted me and my dad to go. I wasn't thrilled with the idea, but I had to go.
Almost as soon as we got to the hotel, Dad said he had some phone calls to make, so he went down the hall. I went to the window and looked out at a city I once always wanted to visit, but now somehow I didn't care about. Mikayla had told me to take lots of pictures, so I took out my phone and snapped a couple of pictures of the park, which the room looked out over. Then I looked down at the entrance to the hotel and all the girls standing out there. The guys hadn't gotten there yet. There was like a hierarchy of when people went in, building up to the guys. Since Dad and I had only been a part of the crew a short time, no one knew who we were or that we knew the Jonases, so we got in without even drawing a second glance. I took a picture of the girls and then just looked around. When I imagined coming to New York, I never imagined it like this. I mean, sure, we were in this fancy hotel overlooking Central Park. And, sure, I was being treated like royalty or something. But this wasn't my trip, it was theirs, and I had been dragged along for god knows what reason. I'd get to see where ever we happened to need to go. And all I'd be doing was sitting around, waiting for it to be over and nothing else.
I saw the black car pull up and even all the way up there, I heard the screams. The worst part was that the guys hadn't even gotten out of the car yet; it was just Big Rob. He went to the back door and opened it. Mr. and Mrs. Jonas got out first, holding Frankie in front of them, and they rushed to the hotel entrance with a security guard. Then Nick stepped out of the car, waving, to the biggest screams I'd heard, even all the way up there. I couldn't imagine how loud it was down there. How were they not deaf yet?
The guys stopped to sign autographs and take pictures with fans, which, I had to admit, was really sweet. I sighed and walked to the bathroom, locking the door just in case Dad came back in. I removed the razor from a case in my pocket. Once I was done, I cleaned up all traces and walked back into the room only to find Joe standing awkwardly by the bags.
"How the hell did you get in here?" I asked.
"Well hello to you too."
"Sorry hi. How the hell did you get in here?"
"Your dad was on the phone in the hallway, so when I asked him for more picks, he gave me his key so I could get some."
"And what are you still doing here?"
"Well, I didn't know which bag they'd be in and I didn't wanna just start going through your stuff."
"You just came in here without asking what bag it was?"
"Well, your dad was talking to someone it sounded like he hadn't talked to in ages, so I didn't wanna bother him. Plus I figured you'd be in here."
"You're the most pathetic person I've ever met."
"You sure you're thinking about the right brother?"
"Well, I'm pretty sure you're the only one standing here. Besides, all Dad's guitar stuff is in the big box labeled guitar, so unless you can't read, you have no excuse." I went to the box and started digging through it.
"Okay, fine, maybe I did know which bag it was, but the reason I was just standing here was because I wanted to make sure you were okay."
"What'd you mean?"
"Well, I came in and figured you were in the bathroom, so I started towards the guitar box, and I heard you. You sounded like you were in pain."

what's Hayley gonna say? Who's her dad talking to?
I'm leaving for DC in less than 12 hours. The concerts Monday night but I'll be there till Tuesday afternoon. but then Tuesday night I'm going to the NJ concert and I'll only have about an hour in between and it's kinda my mom's birthday. Then it just gets crazy. I might be able to squeeze in posting on Wednesday. I doubt it will be before that. but prob on thursday (day off). i'm not posting See You tonight. it hasn't even reached 20 comments yet and I still have stuff to do.

I don't know why, but I have a feeling Mikayla is going to visit Hayley some day, and Nick is going to like her more, I mean, she's supposed to be cuter than Hayley, and Hayley will be with Joe. I don't know why, but while I was listening to a Michael Jackson song, that idea came to my head. If the story turns out like that, i swear i'll freak out lol!
