This is amazing. But sorry, Lady Gaga is also amazing in parts.

@kdd3051 Oh the terrible terrible things i would do to have been 18 in 1969. But nope end up in the generation known mainly for an obsession with disney channel, guys with the voice of a 12 year old girl, and not doing anything good for society or themselves. The only sane people who saw that the music their parents listened to was way way better (like myself) can only complain about it on youtube because we are so outnumbered. We need a movement to knock this generation back to their senses.

by far the best Tull tune, genius

Greetings around the world from me, FLYING CLOUD NINE, in my messy music room in California. After enjoying TULL's masterpiece, "Living In the Past", check out my more recent music creation that is a response to all those "living in the past".
Google this "BACK IN TIME, by FLYING CLOUD NINE"
Supportive comments welcome,

@TheeKingOsiris don't hate them. Pity them for being musically retarded.

Like all of Ian Anderson this a very sweet smooth song to remember the past as he says. He also preys for us all to be forgiving which we need a lot. Good Great artist He weighs about 100 hundred pounds more now days

@TheeKingOsiris They probably don't care that much for you either. If they even know you.
my all time favorite Tull tune. I was 18 in 1969 and yes, priapus56, you are correct in your statement about the originality of music in the 60's, twas a wonderful time to be alive. I don't want to whine, but I HATE today's music, or at least mainstream music. Can you imagine Bob Dylan on American Idol, he probably wouldn't make it past the first audition. They ALL have that same boring voice. No originality AT ALL. But the youth today buy it , literally, I mean Lady GaGa? Such a pity

Great song. From 1969, and the past was not as far back as it is now, forty years on, 1969-2009. Where did all that time go? Thanks, Aqualung1989, for posting the song without video, which is much easier for our listening pleasure.
