Good, solid information and observation about his work.
No 'follow your bliss" crap or "live your dream garbage."
As a writer, I can tell you that it is about the work.

It's hard. Imma basketball player and one of my biggest dreams is to make it into the NBA. But if I don't make it then writing is my backup. But I don't have a lot time to write bkas I work on my game EVERYDAY for the longest hours.

I have written lots of stories 16 years ago and since then I have always wanted to be a writer/author. I have kept these stories and I am always saying I will write some more and I never will or add more on to what I have written/update them. It has always been my ambition and to do it before i die.

Good advise thanks for sharing :)
I think that if you want to write well you must have talent. You also have to read a lot; you must have a good vocabulary, and a good story to tell.
But if you have a good story and you write it bad then its worthless. I also believe its impossible for someone to teach you how to write good if you do not have aptitude for this kind of things. I mean you can learn to draw better, but its useless if you arent any good at it, or become a musician if you have a gross ear.

A chapter a day? Bloody hell, I don't know how you manage it. I never take any less than two days, and I usually take about a week for a chapter.
What sort of books do you write?
