Students in the Department of Environmental Science and Biology recently audited the trash being disposed of on a typical morning at Brockway Dining Hall. Despite our diligent efforts at recycling, the students found there was even more being thrown away that could also be recycled. The students are preparing a report that will be presented on Nov. 15 as part of America Recycles Day. Instructor Hilary Mosher said she hopes the findings will encourage dinners to reconsider what they are throwing away after each meal, and look for ways to recycle or compost items that would otherwise end up in the trash.
