  • Great game - I still play it ;). The only problem is that f you fight on the British side in the early war, you almost always get transferred to the bloody 24th squadron, which fly only DH2s until November 1916. DH2s suck at climbing and are too prone to spins than a Nieuport, though the DH2 has a more stable machine gun platform and is sturdier. Still, I prefer the Nieuport 11. I think I got transferred to the 24th squadron 4 times. When they finally get the Sopwith Pups, it's worth it.

  • @XxEM0grAndm4xX Same if you showed Crysis to these people.

  • Too bad IL-2Sturmovik and other expansions took place in front of this game.

I wish there was a third part.

  • I remember seeing this when the trailer came out and then buying the full game as soon as it came out

  • GD i used to play the shit outa this game.

  • this was one of the most glitchiest games i ever played. it was fun though.

  • I wish I knew about these games when I was growing up. I thought RoF was the only WWI game out.

  • I remember the ground fire flying over the trenches being almost unsurvivable at 5000ft. There was a cheat code in a magazine I put on a floppy that cut the ground fire to about half and to me seemed more realistic. I also remember how fragile some of the planes were and how they creak and groan in flight. You have to cut the throttle on the Nieuport 11 if you dive you'll rip the top wing off. The Fokker EIII is remarkable unmaneuverable considering how much of a 'killer' it was in it's day.

  • @Skatenesh I miss this game as well, I went through 4 different joysticks dogfighting on multiplayer. WON servers hosted it years ago and it was great. Four pilots faced off at the start of a round and instantly dive for speed to race up and fire at the belly of some noob who had no idea how you were flying so frikkin fast and now had altitude on his poor soul. What a great flying engine that was. I would love to find something similar other than RB3D.

  • "stuning graphics" if i showed the developers crysis thed shit themselfs
