  • The CO2 can seems a little dangerous since the extreme pressure.

Are there any chemical ways to make soda water?

  • @John8u11 Not that I'm aware of...I've never felt like there was any safety concern with the soda stream

  • so you drink c02 thats gotta be healthy

  • @tr1ggerhappy22 There are conflicting reports on whether or not CO2 is harmful to the body. As we all know, CO2 is a product that is release from the body and found in a large quantities in our atmosphere. As a general rule, most people are dehydrated because they prefer coffee, soda etc.. to water. When compared to these types of drinks carbonated water is much healthier. With most things, carbonated water is best used in moderation.

  • Soda has that acid that ruins your bones and teeth. How about these?

  • I use the soda stream for carbonating water, I've only made the soda once. I have a feeling that the soda mix they sell contains the same level of acid found in commercial sodas, but I'm not certain.

  • Please read the instruction manual. You are using incorrectly. What you are supposed to do is press the button until you hear a buzzing sound, then press the button again for a total of three buzzes. Now the water is carbonated. Try again.

  • The acid you are referring to comes from the CO2, (carbonic acid) and is going to be found in any carbonated beverage.

  • thats cool but soda water blaaa i cant get that stuff down

  • @John8u11 well , you can carbinate drinks with a slight amount of yeast and sugar , but it will have minimal amounts of alcohol ( way less than 1 % )

  • @John8u11 you can actually make a co2 producer at home by using baking soda and vinegar that reacts to make co2 then place them both int o 2 liter bottle and then feed an aquraim see through tube into what you want to carbonate from the bottle with the vinegar and baking soda the co2 will start bubbling into the drink you are making so then you shake to disperse it and seal and thats it.

  • @inpact all carbonated water is acidic as its really just carbonic acid, H2CO2. There is no way to get carbonated water or seltzer water without it being acidic as the acid forms from the water and carbon dioxide itself, though I'm not saying that water or carbon dioxide are acidic themselves. Also, even though carbonated water is acidic, its such a weak acid that its pretty much harmless, it's just about as harmful as orange juice.
