Battles are being fought everyday in the streets of our cities. It's a fight between the criminals trying to gain control of our neighborhoods, and the law enforcement officers doing everything they can to maintain peace in our cities. We ride along with the men and women who brave the dangers of the metropolitan slums as they take down some of the area's toughest delinquents while bringing peace and justice to the city's they protect.

Phoenix

There is a battle raging on the streets of Phoenix, for control of the life of the city. On one side are the gangs from the city's poor neighborhoods; on the other, the detectives of Phoenix PD's Gang Enforcement Unit. Derek Stephenson's goal, with his partner, Steve Denney, is to rid Phoenix of one gang in particular. The QRT -- Quick Response Team is another unit, whose mission is to provide the extra manpower and firepower beyond the scope of regular patrol officers. One team consists of two women, Lisa Frederiksen and Lisa Rauch — known to all as "the Lisas." "Gangland" tracks all of these teams as they fight crime and features unprecedented access to the inner workings of a top-secret attack on one of Phoenix's most dangerous street gangs.
