God bless the stubborn Celts for keeping there history and music alive.

@bb3ca201 I've just fallen in love with the man.

I heard Liam O'Maonlai sing this one, but I didn't hear the microtones. I like this version much better, and suspect it's probably more true to the original.

I love this particular song. Wow! I think I hear the use of microtones, which until I've only heard in Eastern and Middle Eastern music and really, really ancient western stuff. I love the color the microtones contribute to the song, its so rich.

It has some surprising (given the dialect is from the South) similarities to Scottish Gaelic, e.g. 'tha' instead of 'tá', also iníon is pronounced more like 'nighean'.

Oh I'm not learning in a school or anything, I've just been working with a friend of the family who is from Sligo, so I guess that's Connaught. Mostly just messing around and learning by ear. But you're right, I guess dialects are different.

@stcefce Well, Munster Irish is somewhat different from what you learn at school... ;-)) Nonetheless, his pronunciation is perfect.
I've just fallen in love with Irish Gaelic singing; this man has a beautiful voice...
