Rafael Mendez - Jota Number 2

Rafael Mendez is without a doubt the greatest trumpet player who ever lived. If you watch this video you'll see why. The effortlessness in which he goes through extraordinarily difficult passages is unbelievable. And while still playing majestically and musically keeps his performance from being nothing but technicality.

In this video he is performing Jota #2 with the David Rose Orchestra. There are a few more performances I have so look out for them in the near future.

el virtuoso Wynton Marsalis dijo en una entrevista en Mexico que Rafael Mendez era el mejor de todos los tiempos despues Louis Armstrong. Menciono que Rafa podia mantenerse tocando 18 minutos sin necesidad de detenerse para respirar. Respira y exhalaba al mismo, Increible tecnica. ! Viva Rafael Mendez !
