In this video, you will see more operations at my ho scale model railroad club. This time, you are treated to shots of my BNSF daygo M-BARSDG train lead by my brand new Atlas warbonnet Dash-8 with DCC and sound. This part goes from Barstow to San Bernadino. Part 2 will go the rest of the way to San Diego. Enjoy!

  • real cool! just got my son one for this xmas...seeing your set-up is exciting of this new hobby we are going to begin. thanks for sharing!

  • @7cabralm I'm glad you like it! Let me know how it goes for you.

  • Very realistic sound & appearance. Nice layout you have going on there. How do you get the ditch lights to flash so perfectly like that? I have a DASH8 & a DASH9 with ditch lights but, the lights don't flash on either locomotive? What's the trick? Thanks!

  • @walkerbelle It's just the factory default for the Atlas Dash-8 with DCC & Sound. They're all programed to flash like that. Thanks!

  • Really good representation of the DAYGO. Just get a huge amount of tank cars!

  • @Locomotive450 Haha, thanks!

  • @originalgrump100 How so? Please tell me how I "need to learn my horn signals"? I did do the proper long-long-short -long. There are some real engineers that like to honk the horn too.

  • @CoasterFan2105 On some nights when the California Zephyr leaves town, it honks and honks and honks and honks in theses looooooong drawn out blasts. I had no idea until I was actually on it one night as it left and heard it blaring. :) It wouldn't be such a big deal if it didn't come through town in the middle of the night.

  • @CoasterFan2105 you did it right dont listen to him believe ive seen and heard engineers do tht to so you did to me do it right and prototypical

  • @originalgrump100 You must've missed it, there was a person sitting on the tracks right before the train went by.

  • love the shot at 7:00

  • @originalgrump100 who cares it's his model train he can blast as much as he wan't actually i thnk i might even blast more with mine lol

  • Just ole' Walker dropping by again. This is a NICE looking consist! I like it, not too short, not too long & looks very realistic. The first 2 BNSF rolling parking lots, who makes those? I like that look & wouldn't mind getting a few of those. Is there an updated version of this layout so I can see how it's progressed? THX!

  • All of my locomotives are DC which is probably why the ditch lights don't flash on my units? I wasn't aware until only recently that you had to have the DCC models to have flashing lights & other options? I'm new to the hobby after some 30+ years away from it & all this new technology is mind boggling to me, lol.
