Robert's NAS Rover SD1

Robert's North American Specification Rover 3500 (SD1). A very rare car in the US, having only sold around 1200 in 1980/81. This particular one is in good condition, fitted with 'European' headlights and later door mirrors, finished in platinum silver and has a manual gearbox (as most sold in the US do!). For the SD1 anoraks, note the NAS SD1 uses the rear light cluster slightly differently to usual and as a result there are no rear fog guard lamps.

how did you acquire the euro headlights?

I think these lights came from Spain (sorry, not my SD1). You should be able to source headlights relatively easily, though remember you'll need left-hand drive lights from Continental Europe, right-hand drive lights from UK/Australia won't be any use to you :)

ps i would have thought the numbers higher then 1200 for the usa, due to the number of them on the road i used to see, in canada

my mom had the identical car, being a 1980 model...very neat and different car, especially for 1980...the eng had an awesome sound at 4-6000 rpms...but what a troublesome and pricy car to keep running..it didnt like our canadian winter too much either
