People are protesting the construction of a Hydroelectric Power Plant (HEPP) on the Yuvarlakcay River in South West Turkey. Site preparations began on December 12th. The project is led by a subsidiary of AKFEN Holding, a Turkish company. People from across the region are demonstrating against the environmental damage it will cause.
