In orchestra, we do a lot of ear training on the piano. My teacher said I had the best ear in the whole school's orchestra, I knew all the intervals and the chords, do you think i'd have a decent chance at making my own sheet music for the piano if I started to play? Let me know, thanks!

How do you do these by ear? Do you spend a long time working at each note to get it right or does it just sorta come to you through experience?

@garshfunkle This took me about 15 minutes to learn; it does just come to me. I have a ridicuous ear and perfect pitch combined with years of classical training, and I'm very thankful for everything

@returnthisserve7 Perfect pitch? You lucky thing. Does that work for chords aswell as individual notes? I've always wondered. Also, can you name any note that is played for you or do you recognise the intervals?

@garshfunkle Yep. The way you see a stop sign being red is the way I hear a certain note/chord on any instrument/ voice
