@Steve2323ZX True. I will die some time. But while I'm a live I don't want to suffer. If I can prepare and help others prepare then we will live better. I hope to get to heaven some time but I am in no rush to get there. I have plenty of work to do here.

i followed your instructions to the tee and it didnt work...why?

Great Concept!!! The cardboard is not there to keep stuff from banging around as mentioned earlier. It acts as an insulator between the trash can. Without some sore of insulation your electronics would fry by touching the sides as the electricity ran through the can. Which brings up another point, you must still ground the can using a grounding some sort of ground. YES the cage will work without a ground but don't be fooled. EMP and/or Solar Flares are much more powerful. BE SAFE and ground it.

Not my video mate and I dont see hopw you could have been putting anything down, I was merely wondering if the copper foil you were talking about would be worth considering for the average Joe when thinking about price and availability.
aluminum foilf does work though so it's not a case of either or.

FM vs. total spectrum of a nuke. This video is retarded.

@88Kamikaze69 I'm not putting your video down, however EMP resistance either works or it doesn't. Appreciate your sharing your ideas.

Considering it's something you put faith in will survive a full out emp burst (most likely scenario being a nuke or huge solar flare) kind of makes it something you shouldn't even consider taking out of the container before you need it so I'd say being assured it's not going to get fried far trumps accessibility.

So... effectiveness vs. availability, really worth considering for the average joe?

@88Kamikaze69 Actually, copper foil is available for purchase. The military builds copper shielded rooms. They even a sort of copper wallpaper that can be applied, however the room must be grounded. Grounding is critical.
I love your video and the tracing and cutting of the lid and bottom are very good. I am struggling with doing the inside of the can and wish you would have shown step by step how you did it ....other than the slicing up the bottom of the cupboard. I will keep trying. Thank you for all your videos ;-) .....very informational.

@BabyBribbles The cardboard is only there as a cushion so things don't get banged around so much. You don't need it for protection.

Will an EMP affect the solar panels them self ???
MishinFishin 2 weeks ago
@MishinFishin Thatnks for asking. Not at all because there is no circuitry in them, i.e. diodes, resisters, capacitors, etc, just solar cells.

If you understood basic electrical theory, you'd realize that this simply isn't true. Your best best for storing critical electronic gear is inside a microwave oven, and keep it plugged in. That way its grounded and shielded. A microwave oven has a faraday cage inside to contain the microwaves.
Using foil won't hurt but it won't help when the massive EMP surge strikes your electronics.

@mostlymichaelcanada Excellent comment. Have you tested using your microwave as a faraday cage? I did and it didn't work. If you use it as a faraday cage how do you use it as a microwave. I don't expect any warning so the critical items I want to work are stored in my tested faraday cage 24/7.
