  • What guitar effect is that in? distortion? fuzz?

  • Ok here goes......

    compressor - medium settings,

    bit of analog delay at 450 milliseconds,

    hall style reverb,

    rectifier gain. ( a bit like a tube screamer or some smooth distortion)

    and no fuzz.

    But the actual sound of John Frusciante's guitar is just a bit of gain and reverb with the selector on the humbucking pick up (well thats what it sounds like to me). A pretty clean sound for a solo.

  • thank you soo much evildeadboy, i loved the solo and i transcribed some of it by ear but i was playing it the hard way without realising the solo is based on the b minor etended pentatonic and last few notes on the a major scale :D, thank you thank you :D
