Save the Children is coordinating with Philippine authorities to help evacuate thousands of residents to safety in the communities near the lava-oozing Mayon volcano, which experts believe could soon intensify into a major eruption.
"We are working with the government to make sure children and families are safe from a potentially life-threatening emergency situation," said Hussein Halane, Save the Children's senior advisor for humanitarian accountability.
"The good news is thousands of children in the area have participated in Save the Children's disaster risk preparedness training," Halane said. "That means they understand what is happening now and have received emergency survival skills training that gives them more confidence in facing an uncertain situation."
@MIBstudios - Rule 4: if the authorities are telling you to leave, don't be a dick and do what they're telling you, unless if there is an absolute reason not to do so.

Thank God someone is saving the children !
Rule #1 - Do not live under a volcano!
Avoiding danger is far better than dealing with a life or death situation sooner or later.
Rule #2 - If your home is destroyed do not rebuild there. You, your children & grand children will be in danger sooner or later !
Rule #3 - Learn about long term disaster preparedness & survival ASAP
