The Twin Towers were as much a signature piece of New York as the Statue of Liberty and the Empire State Building. You're not going to say, "America is a strong, unshakeable country!" when you erect a tower that isn't even almost as either of the Twins to be the tallest tower of the complex. The Twins are alive in the movies, in pictures, and posters. The scariest thing I saw last month was a puzzle of WTC with two beams of light filling in the Twin Towers. @randomstuff6791 I'm part of Skyscrapercity; I've been keeping tabs on all four towers. The possibility of capping Towers 2 and 3 were dismissed months ago. It has been decided that 3 will be built as planned if a tenant is found by May and Tower 2 will be build according to demand. Tower 1 is on floor 92 with its steel and Tower 4 is well through its setback floors by now. Plus, neither Towers 2 or 3, I believe, are 200 by 200 feet as the Twins were so you'd have some funky rectangular buildin

@scarface12347 I dont know how you think it could happen again the airports have better security then they did before 9/11, the Twin Towers II would have stronger steal and the exterior skin would feature columns two-feet square, spaced 4 feet 8-7/8 inches apart (possibly more),resulting in a much stronger design (5 times minimum)

@780VolvoVn You know, The Freedom Tower is not such a bad idea. It just doesn't fit into the NYC skyline. And, imagine the Twin Towers with 1WTC, it would look magnificent.
