There was drama at a Salvation Church service on Sunday morning as two opposing sides disagreed over the running of the church and came to blows. One person was arrested in the incident.

It looked a helluva lot milder than a normal Sunday nite at the Pentacostal Apostolic Church there in West Portsmouth, Ohio where they not only get rowdier but also throw rattlesnakes and copperheads on each other and drink jars of poison (which I suspect is heavily laced with Beefeater's Gin.) They steal from the church there too! The young folks steal gas outta the church bus on Saturday nites so they can drive to Wal-Mart on Sunday after church to buy some Pepsi Cola and rotisserie chicken.

@BeeAre -- Yes, all good points considering what is now accepted as 'western' influences today vs. that of 300-400 years ago. In today's context I suppose Islam may be considered a 'western' religion even if Mecca is in Asia Minor, considering that they did conquer parts of Europe before being stopped in France by Charlemagne’s grandfather who forced them to withdraw back into Spain, and then later at the Battle of Vienna when rescue from the Moors came in the nick of time by a Polish King.

@the82spartans um: africa is not largely muslim. northern africa, maybe as a region, but not the entire continent. however even if it it was, it would still be a religion imposed upon them by an outside culture largely considered "western" because it is from the middle-east at a time culturally after the rise and fall of the roman empire and "western" tradition. the continent's conflicts prior to western imperialism (famously European but not exclusively) were largely local and tribal in nature.

@BeeAre -- Hmmm. If you watched & listened to the video it talks about this outpost for Christianity. Now read tamaduni's comment. You should conclude that his is blaming the west for 'Africans always fighting over religion imposed on them...'. This of course is odd at best, as they could reject Christianity if they choose but the main objection I had is the fact that Africa is largely Muslim & they have been fighting each other for hundreds of years at no fault of the west.

@the82spartans islam is a hellenistic religion just as much as christianity or judaism in africa, tamaduni's comment never included any reference to Islam, your inference regarding his position over Kenya's position regarding Islam does not make sense to me. :(??
