Wait, are you Mien? I thought you are Hmong because "niamtxiv" literally means "momdad" in Hmong, but you write Siangh Mienh Nzangc. I'm confused. I commented one of your clips in Hmong thinking you are Hmong, lol.

Hello Jeaniedangc. I am Hmong. Thank you. Growing up, I was always intrigue by the many similarities between Hmong and Mien. Thank you for watching. I haven't had the time to find more videos, but I will post them when I find more.

Oh and also, when I mentioned 'Hong Yao' to my grandma she said that they were Hmong or something but I asked how if they were 'Yao'

And the title of this song reads Chang Fa Yao, or Long Hair Yao =\

That's so funny. When I mentioned the Miao of Hunan to my mother, she said they are Yao. lol I have a link to many different Yao painting clothes.

@MrKoto2010 I know, it's strange that they can't understand us but we can't understand them. Some of my relative's relative or family friend have a Mien grandmother and she can speak Hmong. At first me and my mom didn't know she was Mien until she told us. My mother was impressed of course.

Its interesting that Mien and Hmong have always been together like brothers. But, to my experience, my Mien friends and their parents can speak Hmong, but we can not speak Mien. They can understand us, but we can not understand them. Its sad. But if you are far away you'wll think that they speak in Hmong. Its just amazing that the languages sound so similar but it's so much differences. Love for all.

i heard that hmong and mien (i think it's mien, or some other group) have lived along side each other for a long time and as people live together, what they like in one ethnicity they incoporate into their own...

could that be why their clothes are similiar? >_<
