  • all this war - is fullish crap.

  • This just sums up how pointless war is........lives lost for no good reason. The worst part of it was hitler basically left the 6th army to rot in stalingrad (i think).

  • @sjbzonhoven12 No. Likely most of them deserved respect. Some of them didn't. Just like anyone else.

  • Unmanly tears are shed everytime I watch this movie.

  • u cant make a soldier pay for the things hes done a soldier FOLLOWS orders

there is no good and evil, everyone has friends and family that he loves & everyone has a reason to fight for

many people think all german soldiers were nazis thats wrong most werent they were good man who had to face 2 enemys, the one at the front & a cruel government that wouldve killed them & their familys if they wouldnt have fought

THERE ARE NO CRIMES IN WAR CUZ THE WHOLE WAR IS A CRIME.

    MAY THE FALLEN ONES R.I.P

  • you know how russia celebrates their victory in berlin every year?

I wonder if germany celebrates their victory in paris...

  • Stalingrad is one of my favourite movies because it explains the nazi side of the story.

  • @buffard12345 Do you know who Dr. Albert Battel, Major Max Liedtke, Field Marshal Erwin Rommel, and Sergeant Anton Schmid were? They were part of the Wehrmacht who protested against the treatment of jews and tried to save as much of them as they can even if it meant death. In fact, there were cases when the Jews came under the Wehrmacht protection from the SS. And more surprisingly, the ambassador from Imperial Japan forged countless visa to Jews so they can escape.

  • It's really sad that when the Lieutenant was dying, Reiser was describing about the heat and the desert in a bit to comfort him. It's like the idealized male friendship

What is more sad is that in the end, they both froze together with Reiser refusing to leave the Lieutenant behind.

  • i cant imagine how it was....when you think you may have a chance to survive (in your mind) something happends and then you can think you might have a chance to get out...then you slowly die and you begin to understand it
