See kids? You wanna do something like this, then get off your butts, put Call of Duty 4 away and get into the military as soon as you can because it takes a lot of time to get from "What?! I shot that n00b faggot!" to "FBI!! Drop your weapon!!"

Thanks for this video. It seems like every time I look up HRT or other FBI special agent videos, it comes up as either characters from TV shows or video games with these super dramatic soundtracks in the background.

@87PowerMan Yeah the website basically said that all special agents in the FBI are eligible to try out for HRT. So first step is become a special agent. After I get my bachelors degree I want to apply to a few federal agencies.

@87PowerMan What I'm saying is, does the FBI look at the files of candidates and pick the most impressive one? Or do they give everybody a chance to prove themselves before choosing?

@wafflecushioned , no not exactly. But it certainly does help. The FBI doesn't want to waste their time training candidates on the basics. I know an ex hrt member who was given invitation and he was a former Army MI officer. Besides that I really don't know anymore than you and what the website says.

Sometimes its the 'science geek' that is more adequete for the hard and demanding missions that HRT commits to, than a muscle bound Hulk Hogan type of guy. The need inteligent, book smart, fit and healthy team players. 10% of th eselection process is phisical, the rest is all mental. Attention to details and undenying commitment - that will get you through.

Nope. It would make it a lot more easy yes. But there are also those who came to the FBI from Law Enforcement and worked their way up to HRT without being prior military/special operations.

alright. what if your prior army with a bachelors in information systems science? how long would it take to go HRT?

No idea. You would need to get into the FBI first - and that is a challenge on it's own.
