This video collage that I made is from the short-lived game show, "Knockout" that aired on NBC from October 3, 1977 to April 21, 1978.

The host was Arte Johnson ("Wolfgang" and "Tyrone F. Horneigh" on Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In; the voice of "Misterjaw")

The theme song is called "The Big Beat" by Hal Hidey. This is the stereo version.

Two of the last three pictures are from Laugh-In.

All episodes do exist (Thank you secondchance1977). It was originally rumored that the entire series was supposedly erased.

  • The answers to the puzzles were COlumbus(Missouri doesn't belong), people from Denmark(Borgia doesn't belong), and things that are Chewed.

  • I'd totally forgotten what the theme song to this show sounded like, and then when I heard it, I could swear it sounded like something Hal Hidey of Barry & Enright fame would have created and arranged, and then lo and behold, I see in your description that that was indeed the case.

  • I really liked this show 30 years ago. I remember I scheduled my spring semester one year around it. I'd love to see a video

  • So Knockout's theme best resembles I Dream Of Jeanie. NOT The Price Is Right.

  • I wonder if anybody will post a video of Knockout.
