Mano Ganeshan, A terrorsist suporter wins US Freedom Defenders Award 2007

Mano Ganeshan, a Tamil Politian who voiced against Sri Lankan sovereignty and supported separate Elam state in Sri Lanka and who called Tamil civilians to take arms and lay their lives for the separate Tamil Elam was awarded Freedom Defenders the Runner-up Award by United States Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice in Washington, D.C. on December 10, 2007

He is now inviting General Sarath Fonseka, the former commander of Sri Lanka Army who wiped out entire LTTE terrorist leadership in Sri Lanka to be the candidate UNA (Coalition of political parties) for next (2010) presidential election to compete Mahinda Rajapakse the current president of Sri Lanka. In politics, there is neither a long term friend nor an enemy!

Mahinda Rajapakse gave political leadership for war against LTTE terrorism since 2005 until 2009. The 30 year long Elam warr which is accountable for 90,000 deaths in Sri Lanka came to an end on May 19th 2009. On 19th May 2009 entire LTTE leadership was eliminated and entire Sri Lanka became under one flag. During war against LTTE terrorism, the entire West European world was against Sri Lanka and sympathized for eliminating entire LTTE leadership and called for war crime investigations against political and military leadership of Sri Lanka. The European super powers were entirely defeated by this small tiny nation by eliminating terrorism and re-esbalishing normalcy in Sri Lanka. Yet, they keep pinching Sri Lanka by supporting pro-LTTE Tamil Diaspora to fight for Eelam state.

There were 4 presidents since Elam separatism began in 1983 which was guided directed and funded by USA, EU and India, President Mahinda Rajapakse is the only president who had the right political leadership to end the war and bring development and democracy to Sri Lanka.

In this video, Mano Ganeshan appears in LTTE propaganda stage 1:50 and addressing Tamil civilians to take arms against democratic government of Sri Lanka.

How can a civilized society like USA, asconsidered to be the guardian of democracy award a human rights award to a terrorist supporter when the person concerned is involved in terrorism to kill another human being?

What's with the racism? Live in the present people, this is a post-war era. I am a Sinhalese, but above all I am Sri Lankan. It hurts to hear one Sri Lankan call another a toilet cleaner and so on. Look, the Taliban and Al-qaeda doesn't speak for the entire Islamic community. Likewise the LTTE doesn't represent the entire Tamil community either. the majority are good people.
