Film Made as Students in the mid 1980's starring The Award Winning Multi-Million Dollar Real Estate Genious Dan J. Jacobson who plays the lead role as Marshall Eli Boone. Dan also co-wrote, produced and financed the project. I shot this while attending Pima Community College in Tucson Az, using Tri-X film (14 x 3 minute rolls) only 3 lights, my Canon 1014XLS Super 8mm camera and a budget of less than $2,000 which payed for the film and processing mostly. All actors, extras, and crew all worked for free. It was filmed over 3 days at Pinnacle Peak Restaurant in the Trail Dust Town on Tanque Verde Rd. in Tucson. The Horse opening Scened was very painfull for me because on our way up the mountain, my horse got spooked by a dog and took off towards a wire fence. the saddle was loose and began to lean to the side. I was holding two cameras and tripod and holding on to the horse with just my right leg. I jumped off at the last minute and saved the equipment but pulled my groin muscle and had to ride up the mountain and get the shots while in total pain. That's dedication for you. After that, I couldn't walk for days.
