Here I go through some of the CR-8000's preset patterns, I skip the first 8 since they are all waltz and swing patterns that I don;t particularly like, but they all work fine. I really like the samba and rock patterns.

I used 2 of these on gigs for years - yes you can program both rhythms and fills, and b/c they're analog... as they repeat riffs everything is a little different like an actual drummer - they sound very realistic through a good PA. We'd run them with foot pedals, and set one up while the other was playing a song. 4 pedals - stop/start...A/B... fill.. and tap for beat 1. We had a trio, so the bass player and I took turns "drumming". We kept all our song settings on Rolodex cards.

Those yellow buttons below the ones being used in the video are free memory slots to program up to 8 rhythms of your own on.

so can you acually programme your own rhythms like 808s or can you only choose from presets?
