North Carolina NAACP President Rev. William J. Barber, II announced Saturday, September 25, 2010, that the NAACP has filed a complaint against Wake County Public School System with the U.S. Justice and Education departments.
National NAACP President Ben Jealous was on hand to support the announcement of the legal challenge.

  • Funny.... I just came from a PTA student awards event, where Cary High PTA awarded 600 students an award for having a 3.8 GPA or higher. Cary high like most Wake County schools participate in busing of students from other areas of Wake County. So, as I sat there and look around the room I asked myself where are the African American Students. I could count the number of African American students on one hand, out of 600 students. So tell Mr. Barber, how does this busing thing work?
