Im a diehard American V8 lover, but I give credit were credit is due and those damn supras are fast. Seen a really nice one here locally yesterday, not all riced out.

If you get a Supra and a Cobra and put the same amount of money towards performance tuning on both the Cobra will come out on top. The reason why you see so many Cobras(and other american muscle cars) gettin outrun by cheap jap imports is because the jap is usually tuned to the top and all the american car has is an exhaust and some headers. As a mechanic I will say this. More torque=Faster. And bigger engines produce more torque than small engines the rest is all opinion and prejudice.

@rko2131986 well first you're a moron for believing that engine blew up. The 2JZ-GTE supra engine came with a cast IRON block and forged internals capable of 1000whp or about 800 all day every day. Supras are still arguably the fastest roll racing car out there, and as turbo technology keeps improving supras keep getting faster than most the competition. Love some beefy V8 but any guy who has raced a supra knows 9 times out of 10 it will fuck your girlfriend and leave you crying.

Thats what happens to weak engines they blow up lol Its the same for all ricers There fast with all those mods but cant take to much power for a long time they start to fuck up. A V8 could take it its a bigger stronger engine and like someone said put that turbo on the cobra and it ill b over for that supra
