James Blackshaw_The Cloud Of Unknowing

My favourite Blackshaw composition. This 26 year old lad is a virtuoso. My son lent his guitar to me and said he wanted me to upload this James Blackshaw composition.So here it is played on a Faith Saturn 12 String. It's a great guitar.

I am amazed! How do you produce the termolo? Do you have any hidden fingers?

2 fingered tremelo. I can't do the 3 finger tremelo so it's a bit of an unorthodox fake but it works for me.

@1ArtfulBodger Thanks, I've just bought the rosewood version, and it is very nice, but I have to say I think i like the sound of the hog ones better. Did you add any effect to this recording? Sounds majestic/echoic!

The first 2,5 minute doesn't freeze on my side, but somehow I don't get the feeling "what you see is what you get" from that. I hope Bodger will give us some more insight and explain the magic!

I agree Bert, I was wondering myself, after watching Blackshaw and " Bodger", 1st and 2nd for me hit together, that is why I had to start alternating 1st and 3rd, unfortunately everytime i try to play this video it freeze's up and all I get is the sound , which spectacular as it is, and it is, i'd sure love to get the feed so I could try this piece.destined for sure to be another classic in the steel string guitar repertoire! Faith Saturn guitar is made by Genta guitars in Indonesia. I want one!
