can you mess up the engine if you don't break it in properly? i tried to break it right but im not sure if i did it correctly.

Hey man, Im Fairly New to Nitro's I have had Previous nitro's before such as the T-maxx 3.3 and I want to say Nitrotek buggy with a 4.6 engine? not sure exactly but anyways i only had each for about a week until my Father Crashed both of them to horribly to be fixed. So that was the end of that. I never Quite Understood the Concept on tuning and Im an extreme visual Learner so i was wondering if you could make or direct me to a Very Detailed in-depth Video or website that shows how to tune.Thnks
