  • Several years after this was posted I have the grand opportunity to experience this awesome performance. Love the musicians, the church archetecture and acustics, video camera editing. The total package is superior.

  • muy muy muy bello!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • what have you said? more than Vivaldi isn't possible! Marcello is beautifull but sometimes such a academic musician!!!

  • БРАВО!!!!

  • stupendo

  • Grazie! Thank you! Merci! Gracias! Obrigado !

  • my name is marcello..i'm italian and i play the contrabbass...i love benedetto marcello *.*

  • really beautiful

does anyone know where i can find a cd including this masterpiece?

  • The greatness of this Presto almost cannot be exaggerated. It's a movement which calls into question the place of Bach, Handel, Scarlatti, and Vivaldi within the Baroque canon. In my view, only Rameau can be simultaneously as pleasurable and serious as this, with his overtures to Hyppolyte et Aricie, Pygmalion, and Castor et Pollux. Rameau may top Marcello. But Marcello puts up a valiant fight.

  • I can't beleive I found a record of this piece here. about 10 years ago we played it in Iran's youth chamber orchestra. that time I just had notes and a tape record. thank you
