Sonata No. 1 in D minor - Final deel 3 van Alexandre Guilmant, gespeeld in de Onze Lieve Vrouwen Basiliek op het prachtige Maarschalkerweerdorgel.

Omdat er wat tijd over was hebben André en ik nog wat extra stukken gespeeld, waarbij we elkaar registreerden.
Dat is met dit stuk best lastig en André had wat moeite met mijn speciale in elkaar gevouwen boekje ;-)
Natuurlijk gaan er weer de nodige dingetjes mis maar al met al toch wel leuk om te plaatsen.
Geniet vooral van het machtige geluid wat dit orgel produceert!

I did enjoy your interpetation of this wonderful piece. I do think your page-turner was not as helpful as he could have been, but you cannot get good staff these days.

@marsmat7 Een beetje gemakkelijk geoordeeld vind ik dit, alsof Gert op het punt staat te mislukken, omdat hij z'n talenten niet serieus benut.

Raar is dan, dat mensen die hem wel goed kennen, (zoals zijn leermeesters) vaak verrast zijn door zijn snelle vorderingen en gedrevenheid. Die beoordelen hem niet op een YT filmpje, maar op zijn prestaties op orgelles. Op een open orgeldag doe je geen examen maar speel je voor je plezier en dat is hier goed te zien. En plezier en serieus kan prima samen.

Zo te zien heeft de heer @nieuwkoop1990 nog niet echt de ervaring met papier omslaan(2:03) maar spelen kan hij wel!! houden zo André....

W PL mamy zdolnych młodych organistów, ale niestety stan wielu naszych instrumentów odbiega jeszcze od chociażby tego na filmie...

Nice performance, good reed stops too :-) if only we had more instruments in this condition in Poland. Keep up the good work :-)

I should probably change my initial statement to very impressive. What I find with people like gert, is fantastic ability to play very difficult pieces, but they are never perfect or truly impressive. He is not what you would call a child prodigy, I am the same age, and although not on the same level with my organ playing, I am with guitar (I am learning organ with Graham Barber). What I was trying to say initially is that sometimes playing something that is too difficult for you, and not doing

@TheYorkshireJack Don't be such a turd, Jack! Any REAL musician knows that the ONLY way to grow, mature and improve is to play pieces that challenge you, otherwise why bother playing? Gert demonstrates OUTSTANDING musicianship as a young organist. Right now Gert's videos are having a positive influence on THOUSANDS of viewers, otherwise he wouldn't have as many views. He's making a POSITIVE difference. What about you, Jack?? Do you make a positive difference, or are you just a professional turd?
