As Christmas Day continues, Billy dishes out the rosaries, and makes a major admission about Doreen. Sinbad and Barry are breaking and entering, while Paul is a broken man

  • thanks for that i knew it was around that time frame but couldn't remember for sure. i also think that this christmas episode is the last episodes to feature debbie reynolds as a very young katie rogers

  • @eas17dale Yeah it was Diane Burke took over the 1st May 1989

  • yeah very moving. and yeah all pretty sad. damon died october/november 1987 i think

  • @eas17dale So baby Simon would have already been couple of months old in this episode, if he was concieved at the end of 87.

  • @MeBenHalpin Damon died on the 23rd November 1987 so it would have been October - November time

  • @eas17dale Yeah Damon died on the 23rd November 1987

  • baby simon was played by the son of KEN HORN brookside producer/director BRING BACK BROOKIE

  • God that's Jessica from Casualty

  • Ya Bliiirt!!!

  • @collybird84 It was like proper end of era with the Grant family slowly crumbling over the last couple of months, being the vocal point of the show since it began, but i can't agree more this scene was very moving between Sheila,Debbie and baby Simon and wonderfully acted.

  • I literally cried all the way through this, so powerful.

It's such a testamount to the Grant family that such a huge chunk of a Christmas episode (which are traditionally high on drama) was just dedicated to what is ultimately everyday chatter about a new baby.

  • @sinbad0p Thanks for that bit of info mate.

  • @sinbad0p Did some one mention Diane Burke, one of my all time Brookside crushes Lol.
