  • Baltimore and WJZ are just not the same without Jerry Turner and Al Sanders, RIP.

  • You are so right. It isn't the same without them. Those were the good old days.

  • While I like the current music for WJZ I must admit I like this as well!

  • That's one heck of an opening, from start to finish.

  • @pooka5472 That is incorrect. Nick Charles left WJZ in 1976. Since the WJZ EW intro was in the mid-late 80s, it is Sports Director John Buren.

  • two of the best news anchors in history

  • I just love to see a full news broadcast from the past.

  • @TexasTV Amen Amen and Amen...I used to imitate him when I was a kid...and I was a white kid..lol...just shows you how we all really are the same deep down...I miss those guys...

  • I love the old news theme music.

  • After Jerry and Al left us, WJZ evening news soon suffered what all the other local Baltimore channels suffer from....Smarmy mediocrity.

  • It is Bob Turk, and the guy on the right is sports director Nick Charles.

  • Jerry Turner and Al Sanders: better than Ron Burgundy!

We will never forget you guys!
