  • the reason lalo said to him "let us end it", it is because he started to fall for manuel. He realized that he would be the one to get hurt. he was also jealous , that manuel spend the night with his wife, lalo was already in love manuel.

  • I felt that he said "leave me alone" because he thought that

Manuel was coming to end the relationship. So, he thought

he'd end it first. Right before Manuel gave Lalo the "L" necklace,

he told him that they had to be careful. I think that hurt Lalo,

because he acted differently right after.

  • Lalo, make up your mind :P

  • To me "I love you" is used very loosely in America you say that to your parents, your children and your lover to make them equal in your heart. The "te quiero" in Spanish to me means "I want you" when you say it to a lover and "I love you" when you say it to your parents, children and friends from my point of view but I could be wrong. In Italian you always say to someone you are seeing, I like you or I like you a lot and then it becomes I love you after the relationship is grounded.

  • Spanish is my native language, and yes "Te quiero" doesnt mean exactly "te amo"

But we do say to our parents "te quiero" instead of "te amo"

"te amo" is only for your partner, at least in mexico.

Anyway, even though "te quiero" is not "I love you", its very odd to hear that from one man to another man. Its not common, unless they are drunk.

So maybe here "Te quiero" is like Im starting to fall in love with you.

  • @susantash You're right. Lalo says: "TE QUIERO ", not " TE AMO"

"TE QUIERO" is more than "I like you", "I wish" but is less than "I love you" is in the center. English only there " I love you."

Spanish is a Romance language, very rich, has many nuances to express emotions.

    Greetings from Argentina:)

  • I think he said "te quiero", (unfortunately my computer´s sound system doesn´t work) Which is different from "te amo". In English we just have "I love you" but in spanish "te quiero" might mean "I care a lot about you", instead of "te amo" which means "I have very strong romantic feelings for you". So, after all, this might not be such a direct love confession.
