Concerto for Two Violins, J.S. Bach

10-year old Rylan's dress rehearsal for his recital on Saturday, June 5, 2009 at Community Music Center. Rylan plays Violin II and his teacher Andrew Ehrlich plays the Violin I part and Charles Farmer accompanies on the piano. This is the 1st Movement of Bach's Concerto for Two Violins.

Is Rylan really tall for his age or is his teacher really short? Either way, they play well together.

Rylan did well. It's nice to see people move while playing.

This is my favorite piece so far of the Suzuki stuff. I played second violin with another student for my recital when I was 16. I didn't start until I was 14, but had wanted to play since I was 6.

I didnt like the second violins technique very much. it's supposed to be staccato but u played it long and it mkes it sound sloppy to me

Go Rylan! Really liking the round vibrato tone. Hope you were having more fun than you were letting on ;) You're going to have this piece in your fingers for years to come. Looking forward to hearing the other two movements.
