  • Elvis is a great singer probably one of the best of all time, but I think that is unfair that people considere him as the king of rock, I like elvis too I have two cds of him but I only said that singers like buddy holly, eddie cochran, ritchie valens, carl perkins, little richard, chuck berry, are in my opinion as best as elvis

  • Elvis was a showman. His recordings in '56 and '57 were always on the charts-as were Buddy Holly's in '57 and '58. Elvis had 9 huge hits in that space and Buddy had 8 in his space. After Elvis went in the Army and Holly died, Elvis had a great FILM career and, later,a fat, sloppy Vegas career, but the HITS stopped coming.

Elvis was a bigger deal, but Holly was a hugely successful songwriter as well as a singer, guitar player and recording artist. One was not BETTER than the other-just different

  • Elvis, Buddy Holly, Jerry Lee, Johnny Burnette, Eddie Cochran, Gene Vincent, Carl Perkins etc. etc. have all now stood the test of time, and the argument is not who's best anymore! Let's just celebrate the great musical legacy left to us.

  • R.I.P. it up.

  • thats Waylon Jennings @0:23

  • R.I.P Charles Hardin Holley

  • wanna see anyone trying to dance that version og Rip it up-his feet would just go on fire!!he he:-)

  • who were the 6 idiots that didn't like this! better than rap :-)

  • @3kencloud To say Elvis hits stopped coming is just plain foolish, TEN #1's he posted (not 9) between 56 and 57 he went on to chart another 23 #1's. That is just the #1's , not including the dozens and dozens of other tunes that charted. Elvis to this day is still the best selling solo artist in the history of pop music, again a far cry from the "hits stopped coming". Whether he was young Elvis, Army Elvis, Hollywood Elvis, or Big Fat Vegas Elvis, the Hits NEVER stopped coming.

  • THE KING OF THEM ALL IS BUDDY ]FOR ME ANYWAY ]
