I understand. I just would not tolerate it. There is a inherent risk with heavy equipment, but there has got to be a line drawn on what is too negligent, and what is accepted. I would rather err on the side of caution then risk a employee get killed or my equipment damaged.
@normanmj wouldnt say it was too steep...and how often have you been coming down from a stock pile and just slid down because its a bit wet...sliding but still in complete control...i think he was pretty safe as he did it all in once motion..not jerking like mad when he started to slide and going with it instead of trying to fight it
@normanmj why would he be out of a job?? if he did something dangerous fair enough...but there was nothing wrong with that...just part of every day work just on a bigger scale
first off you dont wanna stick your teeth in the dirt you should curl your bucket so the round edge is on the ground that way if it hits a big rock or somethin its more likely to hop over rather then turn you sideways an flip you. And secondly I expected somethin more extreme
yeah he did need to curl the bucket up so the rounded side slid but he did a very good job of getting it down the hill and not damaging the machine

@jpmelsdon
That angle is far too step for safe operation. He has no control of the machine sliding down a hill side.
