Deadfisch - God Hates America

You know that strange
and terrible forces are at work when the
weirder half of Otway & Barrett, Wild
Willy Barrett turns up on the same
single as Marillion's old keyboard
player. The good news is that "God
Bless America" sounds great, being
nothing less than the agi-prop,
anti-war version of "Hamster Dance",
splicing, as it does, loads of sound
clips and genres. The other good
news is that the politics is handled
with humour, no po-faces were present.
The other, other good news is that the flip,
"Hey Mister President" is just as good, in a
Medicine Head kind of way, nicely gonzo guitar
break too.
