Barack Obama: Joe Biden is not a racist

Washburn asked Joe Biden if some remarks he's made in the past, including his reference to Obama as clean and articulate, suggest he isn't sensitive about the race issue. A somber Biden said that it's his blunt speaking that gets him in trouble and that anyone who knows him doesn't question his credentials. His fellow candidates applauded him, and Obama said he has "no doubt of [Biden's] commitment."

Actually I agree with Biden. In the major cities, 90% of convenience stores ARE owned by Arabs/Indians/Middle Easterners. There's nothing wrong with pointing that out.

While I applaud your comments and attitude, you are highly delusional if you think being a Democrat makes it impossible to be a racist. Sure the party's message is one of equality, but I come from Anytown USA, and like most towns built by low to middle class Dems, there is a good deal of racism. Anybody who thinks with a right/wrong black/white mentality misses the subtleties that make us human and negates the equality we SHOULD strive for. Besides, nowadays its really more about rich vs poor.
