This is the revised version (as of 2008-08-08) of a slideshow I made based on most of the photographs I took at the Feast of Tabernacles observed by the Living Church of God in New Braunfels, Texas. I'm just sorry that I couldn't get photos of the Twelve Tribes of Israel Booths, the musical performances, the sermonettes and sermons or much else. What I did get were photos of some old and new friends, the Singles Trip to San Antonio's Boardwalk (including a side trip by four of us to the venerable Buckhorn Saloon), a trip to the Wildlife Ranch nearby, and the Family Day Dinner and Dance (which actually happened before the trip to the Ranch).
I make no claims to great production values here, which is why I'm not letting you rate this thing :) - sorry, this is all I have time to put together. I hope you'll enjoy it anyway. I'm not allowing public comments either, but you're welcome to send me your thoughts privately! :)
The musical tracks, in order, are an adaptation of Janet Smith's arrangement of "Hal Libba Marya (Give Courage, O LORD)", a hymn of the Assyrian Church of the East performed by me on the Celtic harp; "The Servant's Prayer" by Dwight Armstrong (performed by Kathyrn Ames et al.); and "Hey, Christopher Alan", composed and sequenced by me. All of these were performed at some point during the Feast (the last during the Family Fun Show before the Dinner and Dance, the recording accompanying my harp playing karaoke-style).
The chief revisions to this video are 1) the addition of some simple text effects and 2) the use of a much-revised version of "Hey, Christopher Alan". I couldn't remove the old version entirely; the best I could do was get the two versions to cross over, so the beginning of that section sounds a bit muddy. (Don't worry, the rest of that particular "earworm" will make up for that lack!) :)
