There is actually such thing as a nose tackle in a 43 defense. Just depends on the defensive scheme. The Panthers 43 does have a nose tackle.

Nose Tackle is a Defensive Tackle. In a 4-3 you have 2 defensive tackles: a nose tackle and under tackle

There is a Nose Tackle in a 4-3 defense. The NT responsibility is to shade both the Center's and the LG's body so he can draw the double team, leaving the 3 technique DT to go one on one with the RG. If you still don't know anything about football, look it up on wikipedia or search Pat Williams on wikipedia. I know my football and can back it up.

Obviusly but that doesnt mean he cant be the run stopper on their interior 4-3 d-line... Thats why he is a projected 3-4 Nose tackle not a 4-3 defensive tackle. he would suck in a 4-3 scheme

I noticed that too. He seems to be more worried about his blocker than the ball carrier.
