what is wrong with the world. Why are our people still fighting? Wasn't one genocide enough? I mean would those people who died there still want us to hate each other or is their death a testimony to what happens when hate goes out of control. Too bad we are reduced to these kind of disputes when we can perfectly well become good neighbors. And why are the Jewish people involved? Schmidt? Why are Jewish people even denying our right to justice. Real shame.

1. I don't think Schmidt is Jewish.

2. Regarding the Jewish-American community: I think an overwhelming number of Jewish-Americans support the historical facts of the Armenian Genocide. Unfortunately, for some cynical, "pragmatic" reasons, the leadership of some Jewish-American organizations have compromised on the Genocide issue, because of what they view as the "more important" issue of Israel/Turkey relations. Let's hope those "leaders" soon catch up with the views of their rank-and-file.

The Armenians routinely misrepresent the Turkish-Armenian conflict to unsuspecting public as settled history of genocide, whereas it is far from being settled, let alone called genocide. I am not interested in slurs. The Turkish people, two generations removed from their genocidal ancestors, are, generally-speaking, good people. But, what category does one fall into when he or she fights like hell to deny a genocide?
