YES ON PROP 8
What Gays Don't Want You to Discover...all the SPIN, the move towards legitimizing Garriage

...even as we speak, the gay agenda lawyers are mobilizing to challenge our RIGHT to put this decision on the ballot in California for a vote of the people. They behave much like elitists who think they, the minority, can rule the majority. Its hard to believe.

Its hard to believe the extent they will go on in a selfish motive for self, and ignore the effects of these decisions on the children of the upcoming generation. Children have a right and are entitled to have a father and a mother.

Marriage is between a man and a woman.
If two men want to be together, they have that right, but I think it should be called something else, like garriage. That would make more sense.

You know, Giving the designation of marriage to two guys or two women takes away from what marriage means to me, and what it always meant to me. It has always meant a man and a woman. Why change that? Why do we keep needing to redefine our dictionaries? Is nothing constant anymore??

Changing marriage will change my religion. Our religion has doctrine about gender being eternal, about man being made for woman, about marriage meaning man+woman, and the Bible backs this up with the first marriage of Adam and Eve. Marriage was established in the religious world of Christianity, NOT by a government. That governments have since adopted it too as a civil institution is a side note, but not the source or foundation of it. Our Constitution, Bill of Rights, Article III says that the "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof;" THAT means that they can't go around changing the definition of marriage for gays, because it will INFRINGE upon the rights of free exercise of our religions that ban it, teach against it, and because there will be courts (a branch of government too) that will have judges, lawyers, and juries from time to time that will rule against churches that do not please a certain homosexual couple seeking marriage recognition within that church, and then the church will be punished with fines, jail, or both.

Remember the EDMUND TUCKERS ACT of 1887? The government DID pass this law which INFRINGED upon the rights of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints when they outlawed their form of marriage at the time, which was legal and acceptable in all other parts of the world! So I know what government is capable of when public opinion sways against a certain church.

Let gays have GARRIAGE, because it truly IS something different. If we make it the same name, then it affects what we do in our churches! It means that gays in churches will be able to pressure to get marriage, when it would be immoral for a christian church to go that direction. It means that churches will not be able to perform their marriages and it then becomes a state thing. Thats a lousy thought to us. We dont want OUR rights infringed upon. We dont want to get sued for non-compliance. Let them have garriage and they can go to the government to get it. Married by an authority that wants to do that sort of thing.

You see, I think the whole gay lifestyle does not bode well for kids because they wont have a father AND a mother. They would have in garriage or civil unions, a lop-sided view of parental authority and nurture. They would get too much of dad, or too much of mom, or worse, neither. Because there is a dynamic in the normal heterosexual relationship that just differs immensely from two guys kissing or two girls kissing. Guys and girls, being opposites, compliment each other both physically and personality wise. It is the big picture. Its the ideal. Its what kids need. Its certainly what I needed as a kid. A consistent father figure and a mother figure.

  • Actually, forget my comment to you. I don't like being forced into your kind of sensorship. An open debate would atleast land you a mental thumbs up. Turning off ratings and open discussions doesn't give you credit.

  • @theoldbat40 Just a SPAM control, and a way to weed out hateful comments, because I have found that some gays and lesbians can be pretty hurtful in trying to get their one-sided points across, and resort to all kinds of creative PROFANITY.

I am not the least bit afraid of this whole debate, because we keep winning it on logic alone, let alone the Bible. Logic says its a crime against nature that humans would forsake the procreative process for "pleaasure?" That's just wrong.

  • Religion should NEVER be a basis for changing the law considering there are multiple religions with different views and some people with no religion at all.

  • @TheAnnoyingThing1915 You're right, but the Bill of Rights means something in the USA. No one can change the definitions of what religion stands for, and that's why marriage should be OFF the table. Its like government is unconstitutionally trying to INFRINGE on the rights of Americans in some states to practice their religion, and the government is trying to redefine, BY LAWS, what is a sin or not. That's just plain wrong. Get OUT of the morality definitions business. It belongs to RELIGION

  • Theyr'e not more selfish than anyone wanting to marry their partner. The world is not a constant - dictionaries have been changed all the time, but I guess the previous changes didn't affect you or your religion? All of your arguments are based on a view colored by your religion. I've yet to see anyone come up with a rational argument based on facts to support your personal (and selfish) reasons to not allow gays to have a legal marriage.

  • @mermaidsareppl222 I disagree.

  • @TatouSolitaire Simply, those religions ARE of the devil, and I truly mean that. An EVIL religion that says gay marriage is OK. For one, its immoral. Two, it is not supported by the Bible in any sense of even the imagination. It is entirely a made up FAD of the 21st century.

  • @hroark91 If you guys wouldn't write to me so much, I could stop thinking about it. But you keep making comments and false statements. I am bound to respond to much of this nonsense. Why don't you just stop sinning and mocking God, and that would be a good start.

  • @mermaidsareppl222 Mormon 9: 2 Behold, will ye believe in the day of your visitation—behold, when the Lord shall come, yea, even that great day when the earth shall be rolled together as a scroll, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, yea, in that great day when ye shall be brought to stand before the Lamb of God—then will ye say that there is no God?

  • @908381stud 2 Nephi 28:9 Yea, and there shall be many which shall teach after this manner, false and vain and foolish doctrines, and shall be puffed up in their hearts, and shall seek deep to hide their counsels from the Lord; and their works shall be in the dark.
