@MirageKoas I think So4 is in itself somewhat of an adaptation.
I played all SO except first one(Not JPN.)
Star Ocean 2: Was awesome, no doubt, and probably the one I like the most.
Star Ocean 3: It was a nice upgrade from the 2nd one, It was fun enough but very very repetative, but it still was SO style.
Star Ocean 4: B.E.A.Ts and average repetative, so far I'm not bored of the Fighting, and I got to say this is almost as perfect as it could be in SO style.
Still loved SO2 style though(2D<3)
