NIce black piranha. After watching this vid. I wanna get a black piranha from Guyana. I didn't know they were hard to get. I thought the black piranha xingu was hard to get. But I love all Piranhas. I can't wait until I get mines from aquascape. I went there to visit and they have the illest piranhas. I had to leave a deposit. I don't know what I really want. But I just keeping building store credit and than i will pick something.

A continuation from the previous post...of'course, I could do another 50-55 gallon setup and still keep all of my piranhas but unfortunately I just dont have the extra time, space, and money at this time..I'm so undecided and torn..but I really want the rhom badly..oh well, I got to decide by this Monday!..that's when the vendor told me to bring me fish in and when he would have another batch of piranha order coming in!..Can't wait!
Hi Apolloflying,
Well, here is my dilemma...like I said above, I was thinking about getting a 3-4 inch ternetzi to go with my caribe, and red belly in the 55 gallon tank but recently I ran into a vendor (local pet store) that has a 6 inch guyana rhom for $99!..I was thinking about getting him as guyana's are extermely hard and rare to come by..only thing is I would have to trade in my red belly and caribe and get some kind of store credit to bring the price down on the rhom!

Actually, I should have mentioned that this is a Guyana Rhom that I have.

They are little feeders, not large fish. I alternate him between feeders and freeze dried krill, which he likes as well.

Hi Apolloflying,
Beautiful rhom! I have three piranha tank setups myself. I have a 29 gallon with one gold spilo about 4.5 inches long. A 30 gallon long with a 4 inch xingu rhom and a 55gallon tank with a 3 inch caribe and a 3.5 inch red belly. I'm thinking of getting a 3 inch ternetzi to put in the 55 tank to complete the trifecta! After all, the pygo species do shoal well together. Anyhow, which online vendor did you buy your guyana rhom from?! they are extremely hard to find. kudos to you!

That sounds cool. I've actually gone crazy with African mbuna cichlids lately. I got my first after setting up the Rhombeus tank, and have fallen in love with them. Just set up a 60 gallon tank for them and moved them into it. The Rhom is doing great as well. I guess I like aggressive, interesting fish, as the Africans are quite aggressive as well, but they don't have the killer teeth...LOL.
