You actually can compare the two. Brandy was the first Black princess. Michael loved Brandy. He even sang backup on her album.

The point was not how many records or movies they have!It was to point out that Brandy is an icon around the world.....meaning they know her name, which makes you not only a star but also an international one at that. Jarule's movies may be up to date but, were they seen by a large audience? Once again she may not have the limelight on her,but does that mean people don't still recognize her? It doesn't matter how many projects you have, but do people know you!

Neither can you compare J-kwon and Jarule to Brandy. her last song might have sucked(to you anyway),but she is famous for so many more of her songs. She also has two shows(One of them having a much bigger audience;Moesha, the other Thea) under her belt, has been in movies and has toys and projects in other parts of the industry! There is no such thing as an ex star! There is a such thing as having no limelight on you, at the moment! You're a star when everyone around the world knows your name!
