Her playing as matured so much since this competition and I am so happy she won silver at the Van Cliburn and Tchaikovsky!

Nice playing, but one of the important things about this etude, musically, is that each phrase must start at the same dynamic level as the last, with the exception of the entrance to the B major section. She does not totally accomplish this. Technically it's very fine.

agreed. too much movement. i don't think it's a great way to be seen to audience as a pianistin, and she didn't have to show that she has a long neck!

Is this etude actually called Horseman Etude? That would be a very good name for it, it does sound like galloping hooves.

the important thing is that she makes a good sound. If you don't like the way she moves, just stop looking and start listening for a change.
