...she also returned to Utah and managed some discreet research at the LDS Church Archives, gaining access to some highly restricted materials by being introduced as "Brother McKay's daughter," a subterfuge that made her feel "guilty as hell."
"At the University of Chicago, where Fawn earned an M.A. in 1936, Brodie lost her faith in religion entirely. In 1975, she recalled, "It was like taking a hot coat off in the summertime. The sense of liberation I had at the University of Chicago was exhilarating."

To get a balanced view try reading "No Ma'am that's not history" by Hugh Nibley. Then you can weigh up both sides of the argument. To only read Fawn Brodie is like going into court and only listening to the prosecutor's side. All her arguments in my opinion are soundly beaten by Nibley.
@dorisfenella You called me a bigot? Now who is judging whom? Typical mormon hypocrite. You were sold a false religion now have a great life with 10% less income.
@splibb My real language is spanish. The lds church has the lowest adminstrative overhead and the use of funds is audited at all times by independent accountants. I encourage you to take a closer look at what the LDS church does with its money, whether from tithes, offerings or business earnings. The funds are used almost entirely for taking care of the poor/needy or for spreading the gospel. But you are a bigot
