  • Who old are they?

  • 6 weeks old

  • so do sea monkeys food cost alot since u have to feed them once a week?

  • They last almost a year... do they are really cheap

  • So does any one know where they really come from ? Like who catches them or how are they not dead by the time we get them?

  • They are natural from Salt Lakes. They lay eggs in suspended animation (their lake eventually evaporate and this is how their species survive). Their eggs can survive without water for decades. Contact with water makes them hatch. Hope this help!

  • ROSE IS WRONG!!!!

first of all they don't o anything to the eggs to make em last longer, that's nature. If you only knew that the little puddles/ lakes they live in dry out, then you would know why they last longer, so that when the waters come back to species is still alive.

Sea monkeys aren't the brine shrimp you see in the Mono Lake, they are a hybrid. T he species you do see he wild in those lakes are the wild brine shrimp- Artemia Salina Seamonkeys were made in a lab and are Artemia Nyos

  • Actually Sea monkeys are quite natural. In the world beyond a plastic cointainer, their called Brine shrimp. Their eggs can stay in suspended animation (like hibernation but in this case, not seasonal) for several years. In the wild they live in saltwater, BUT NOT in oceans (example of habitat: Mono lake, California).
